District heating is an essential life safeguard for the north urban residents, District heating planning has a profound impact on the overall planning, including the choice of heat source which is closely linked with residents’ quality of life and the quality of environmental air.Atmospheric air quality declining dramatically in northern China especially in the north cold region at present.Urban residents suffer from severe haze weather in the winter. These environmental problems directly related with the activities of district heating, heat source and coal-fired boiler. Therefore, this article is written from the perspective of improving the regional environmental, analyze the different environmental impact of different district heating heat source scheme, to complete the objective of optimize the heat source scheme and improving the quality of living air environment.This paper is expanded in these thought of put forward issue, research methods,and argument instance.First, the main form of district heating heat source and differences between the heat source produce pollutants are analyzed. It has discussed the environmental benefits of Combined Heat and Power and regional gas-fired boiler room which heating system is mainly used at present. It requires quantitative analysis and calculation to assess the environment effects of a specific heat source solution The second, it has carried on the improvement that aiming at the shortcomings of the current evaluation system of the heat source, not only focused on emissions of pollutants but also concerned with the space of pollutant diffusion distribution in urban areas, especially in central area. This article also puts forward the population weighted concentrations index of pollutant dispersion based on the population distribution. It make the influence of heat source pollutants to the residents prominent. Finally, this paper has studied on the Jixi heating planning demonstration project. It has completed the pollutant index calculation and the analysis of spatial concentration to reflect environmental impact of current heat source scheme, completed the optimization for heat source scheme according to the pollutant diffusion pattern and reduce the pollutant concentration index obvious.In Jixi heating instance, it has adjusted the load ratio of assistant boiler room and used the different form of assistant boiler rooms in the scheme selection,and combined with the model of the population in the scheme index analysis, the average concentration and average population weighted concentrations of SO2 can respectively reduce 35% and 45% in the core area of the city when using the solution of gradually reduced boiler load, and the corresponding concentrations of NO2 can reduce 22% and 30%. It can also lead significantly decrease of pollutant concentration in the core area when we used gas boiler. Meanwhile, analyzing and processing simulation results on the basis of urban air pollution index, find that API value can reduce 30 50 when we adjust coal-fired boiler load, API value can reduce 30 50 when we use gas boiler room pitch peak.
