This essay partial study on the “ key technologies and engineering applied researches of typical centrifugal pumps(2011BAF 14B00),which is the sub-project of the National Sci-Tech Support Major Plan. The topic we study also refers to the sub-project of "industrial pump technology improve public service platform" research(Fujian province Economic and Trade Commission industrial technology innovation.). It can be seen that increasing efficiency of pump has a very important significance. the main research job and results are as followings:Review of the single stage double suction application of numerical simulation technology in the research of centrifugal pump in the design of centrifugal pump research status, existing problems and development trend and CFD. Speed coefficient method design of ES300-435 type single-stage double suction centrifugal pump hydraulic model. Using empirical formula to calculate the strength and rigidity of the main parts, to ensure the reliability and service life of the pump. In depth comparison of domestic and foreign single-stage double suction centrifugal pump, determine the structure of ES single stage double suction centrifugal pump.Through CREO software created ES300-435 in three-dimensional model of double suction centrifugal pump, and it use ICEM to make grid division. analysis of all kinds of the numerical simulation of turbulence models and calculation methods,the suitable way of numerical simulation settings in this paper is confirmed. Then use ANSYS to perform the numerical simulation of centrifugal pump. Numerical simulation prediction of the head, efficiency and design requirements of the trend is basically the same, more accurate response to the flow of ES300-435.Analysis and forecast a spiral suction chamber Angle was laid across the tongue of single stage double suction split case pumps performance impact. A spiral suction chamber lie between the tongue and horizontal Angle respectively designed for45°,90°,90°, the CFX software, numerical simulation of the 100-250 single-stage double-suction open the external characteristic of the pump, different across thetongue of a spiral suction chamber Angle was laid, eta- H- Q Q performance curve,analyses the half spiral suction chamber Angle was laid across the tongue on single stage double suction split case pumps hydraulic performance. The Calculation results and the experimental results both estimates that that single-stage double-suction open pump lift in increased with the increase of Angle was laid across the tongue,while the efficiency and reduce with the increase of Angle was laid across the tongue,the results based of the same conditions, So for single stage double suction pump, a spiral suction chamber increase tongue design method can improve the head of single stage double suction split casing pump.The innovative structure design: the spiral suction chamber with diversion wall extending shunt structure of ES series double suction centrifugal pump, and reducing the vortex loss of pump, it’s conducive to improve the performance of double suction pump; The built-in cooling and lubrication of mechanical seal technology is good to shaft seal cooling and lubrication. It improves the service life of the pump.On the basic of former analysis, raise the optimal plan of pumps’ performance,for the rest of the other 6 double suction centrifugal pumps for performance improvement. Make the performance adjustments of the rest 5 single stage double suction pumps and rebuilt the Three-dimensional hydraulic model. Besides, use the Numerical simulation way to retest the results, the test result shows that : the efficiency of type pumps after optimizing, has increased a lot based on the certain working conditions( reached at 82.87%~85.64%), achieved the energy saving and performance optimal goals. The All-around Technical Target is ahead of the world.
