With the high-speed development of economy, cars become more and more popular, and Internet of Vehicles also shows its vigor and vitality. It is expected to become the next one trillion level industry. However, drivers sometimes make telephone calls while driving, which may cause severe safety risks. Traffic regulations in certain regions stipulate that drivers should not use telephones to make calls while driving. In order to solve this problem, the in-vehicle hands-free system emerges as times require.Android is an open operating system in intelligent terminals, and it occupies a dominant position in the field of intelligent mobile phone. Android can be embedded in different vehicle hardware platforms, to improve the intelligence of vehicle terminal, which can help the development of Internet of Vehicles.Bluetooth technology is a short-range wireless communication technology standard opened worldwide, with the advantages of small size, low power consumption, as well as low cost, which gives the Bluetooth-based in-vehicle hands-free system a very high practical value. Android platform provides support for Bluetooth, including the driver on bottom and application framework on upper layer. This paper focuses on the research of in-vehicle hands-free software systems based on the Android platform. Firstly, this paper introduces the research background of in-vehicle handsfree systems briefly, including development status of Internet of Vehicles, Android and Bluetooth. Secondly, the paper analyzes the system architecture of the Android platform, and build a development environment, then introduces the Bluetooth protocol stack system briefly, which makes preparation for further work. Thirdly, this paper makes a requirement analysis based on design goals of the in-vehicle hands free system, and put forward the design framework of the overall system as well as the specific design of functional module. On this basis, combined with the characteristics of the Android platform, this paper discusses the realization of each function of the system in detail. Finally, this paper tries to solve the audio concurrency issue for a better user experience.
