Bridge engineering plays an important role on traffic routes, its seismic behavior directly related to people’s daily lives and the overall relief work after earthquake, the seismic research for bridge was given much more attention. Currently, most of bridge seismic studies did not consider the influence of pile-soilstructure dynamic interaction, it is difficult to forecast the seismic response considering pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction under the complex ground motions, especially for high-pier and long-span bridges. It has great practical significances and engineering values to grasp the seismic performance accurately by studying its seismic response including pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction. Therefore, this paper based on the finite element numerical method to study the seismic response of high-pier and long-span bridges under complex ground motions including pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction, the main contents are summarized as follows:(1)On the basis of reading a large number of domestic and foreign references, grasping the mechanism of pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction, reviewing and summarizing the theoretical and research methods.(2)The simple analysis of the finite element software Open Sees, the materials and units that used in the paper and also the software of SHAKE91, in order to give a little bit help for future scholars.(3)Based on Open Sees, building a 3D finite model with different pile-soil connected manners, in order to study the pros and cons of results with different modeling methods. With the only one pile, it can use the connected way of pile-soil with many joint points, with the clump of piles, it can use connected way of pile-soil with only joint point of pile center.(4)A simplified bridge model based on the dynamic p-y curve including pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction, the paper cites tests and makes sensitivity analysis on parameters and nonlinear analysis of near-field soil and so on in order to verify the correctness of the model. It can conclude that the dynamic p-y curve can use to simulate the seismic response analysis of bridge considering pile-soilstructure dynamic interaction.(5)Building fixed model and including pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction model of high-pier and long-span based on two kinds of bridge modeling methods, and the comparative seismic response analysis of two models under both horizontal and vertical ground motions and only horizontal ground motion. It can conclude that considered the factors of pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction and the vertical ground motion is necessary.To sum up, it is necessary to consider pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction and vertical ground motion for seismic design and research of bridge. In this paper, the methods of modeling, simulation, analysis, and the conclusions have certain reference value in the actual engineering design and research.
