The unique performance of the relationship between the air spring and the damper strut with nonlinear stiffness and nonlinear damping.The vehicle ride comfort,handling stability and road friendliness can be improved by changing the initial air pressure of the air spring and the damping gear of the shock absorber to adapt to different driving conditions.The research group on the basis of existing research, a by variable stiffness of air spring and damping adjustable shock absorber is composed of one type of shock absorber strut application in a passenger car suspension system,study the strut stiffness and the influence of the change of damping performance of the vehicle, in order to grasp one type of shock absorber strut and semi active suspension and vehicle matching method.This paper introduces the structure and working principle of a new type of integrated vibration damper, and analyzes its performance characteristics.According to the structure and performance requirements of front and rear suspension of a passenger car, a front and rear suspension damping strut is designed.The stiffness and damping characteristics of the front and rear suspensions are established by using MATLAB/Simulink software, and the stiffness and damping characteristics of the integral strut are analyzed according to the simulation results.Developed before and after various type of suspension shock absorber strut sample, the bench test. The test results show that under the same initial stress, the elastic force of the shock absorber strut with the changes in the tensile or compression stroke presents nonlinear change; vertical shock absorber strut stiffness varies with the changes of working stroke, when the suspension compression stroke more than 0.02 m,assembly stiffness increases rapidly, the wheel in the bad road conditions beating can play a good inhibition and avoid "suspension breakdown".The characteristic curve of the vibration damper is obviously inclined to the common vibration damper, and the degree of inclination of the curve is related to the stiffness characteristic of the air spring.Based on the design of various type of shock absorber strut, the use of MATLAB/ Simulink software, a quarter vehicle with two degrees of freedom semi-active suspension system model is established, the semi-active suspension performance simulation. The results show that by changing the stiffness under different conditions and the matching damping can improve vehicle dynamic performance.On the basis of using MATLAB / Simulink software, a seven degree of freedom vehicle semi active suspension system model, the weighted centroid acceleration RMS(root mean square)and dynamic tire load RMS and suspension dynamic travel root mean square value of the value of the minimum as the goal, using the evaluation index dimensionless method of the matching effect of the integrated suspension strut and vehicle performance.The simulation results show that: under the typical operating conditions,the root mean square value, the dynamic travel of the suspension and the dynamic load of the tire can be improved.
