The stability of highway roadbed in karst areas is now become one of the technical difficult problem in the field of road and geotechnical engineering. Based on the view of interval numbers theory and fuzzy theory, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of highway roadbed stability in karst areas is been established, after studying the interval number fuzzy hierarchy synthesis. It has been taken into practical application in Jilian highway. Concrete work is as follows:(1) By analyzing the engineering data about the karst roadbed of studied section in Jilian highway, such as the topography and landform character, meteorology, hydrology and geology conditions, stratigraphic distribution and geological structure situation, the evaluation factor of karst development degree in the karst roadbed evaluation model is selected, and the calculation method of karst development degree index K is determined.(2) Based on the main influence factors which influence the stability of karst roadbed, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of the highway roadbed stability in karst area is established using interval number theory and fuzzy theory. The model take the degree of karst development index K into consideration and also combined with the project risk evaluation method of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.(3) The established stability analysis method is applied to Jilian highway K60+890~K70+000 section, and the result shows that the subgrade stability level is Ⅲ, which means the karst roadbed stability is medium, and slightly apt to the poor level Ⅳ. It should be handled.
