There are many nature of fluid motion problems in porosity media, such as crops in soil moisture and nutrient uptake migration, the movement of groundwater and oil and gas in the r ock pores, sewage flows in the sediment filter and so on. Because of the complex structure of porous media and special, the study of porous media permeability and flow characteristics is a challenging task rich. In this paper, Based on the fractal theory, the relation between perme ability and flow characteristics and structural parameters in porous media is disussed.First of all,the background and research of permeability and flow characteristics in high porosity media are brief introduced, other scholars research of two traditional research metho ds about permeability(experimental measurement, numerical analysis) are summarized, and analyzed advantages and disadvantages, and the study of high porosity media inertial resistan ce coefficient is also summarized.Secondly, the structural characteristics of the porous media is introduced, and a regular dodecahedron model is constructed to study porous media flow characteristics. According to the representation of the micro-unit, the relationship of the two important parameters of poros ity and pore density PPI between the structure parametersn in porous media are determined.Compare the model calculation value and actual value, the reliability of the model and the cor rectness of the expression are guaranteed. The expression through strict mathematical deducti on, every parameter has a physical meaning and there is no empirical constant.Then, based on fractal and the regular dodecahedron model, the permeability of porous media can be obtained,apply Auto CAD software and geometric analysis, the regular dodecah edron model surface porosity of different cross section surface porosity can be computated, a nd using the Origin software fitting formula of surface porosity and porosity.With the introdu ction of surface porosity, high porosity media permeability expression can be obtained. Regul ar dodecahedron model permeability values and the corresponding theoretical value agree we ll, further validates the dodecahedron model structure of rationality and structure parameters i n relation correctness. And found that, as the same porosity, the permeability is samller when the PPI increasing; and as the same PPI, he permeability is greater when the porosity increasi ng. According to the permeability expression, and the high porosity of porous media inertial r esistance coefficient can be obtained.Based on fractal theory,the expressions porosity and inertial resistance coefficient can be obtained through rigorous mathematical derivation, and each parameter has specific physica l meaning, as we known porosity, wire diameter, edge length, aperture and other parameters high porosity of the porous medium permeability and inertial resistance coefficient can be dete rmined.Finally, the main research contents and innovative points are summarized, and the flow characteristics and permeability of porous media of further research work is prospected.
