Dry stack tailings originated in the 1960 s gold extraction technology.Compared to other tailings storage mode,its advantages are mainly concentrated in terms of safety,environmental protection and infrastructure investment. Along with technology improved,dry stack tailings will become the new trend of development of tailing stored.Due to the stability calculation of dry stack tailings is more complicated in rainfall conditions, most of the literature only analyzes the stability of dry stack tailings, not consider the affect of rainfall factors. Rainwater infiltration will change the dry stack tailings dam seepage field inside, causing internal dam water increases,the shear strength decreases, which will have a negative impact on the stability of the dam. Therefore further analysis various factors impact on the seepage field and stability of the dry stack tailings in rainfall conditions and it is significant to guide the actual project.This article aims to study the three dimensional seepage field and stability of dry stack tailings in rainfall conditions. The main contents include:(1)According to the basic theory of seepage,it describes the unsaturated soil rainfall infiltration basic theory and slope stability analysis theory.It details the basic formula of the three-dimensional seepage finite element method and solving process.(2)Taking the simplified tailings model as the research object, discuss the impact of dam height, slope, rainfall intensity,rainfall duration time on three-dimensional seepage and stability.and obtains pore water pressure under the influence factors,thickness of saturated zone and variation of anti-slide safety coefficient.Given to the quantitative relationship of meeting the requirements of the safety factor between the various factors.(3)Take an actual project of dry stack tailings as example, three dimensional numerical simulation of seepage field and stability of dry stack tailings and obtains pore water pressure, the thickness of saturated zone and variation of anti-slide safety coefficient,and on the basis of the preliminary design of dry stack tailings for analysisand take to change the slope of the dry stack tailings to achieve the purpose of expansion,and to provide scientific reference for the dry stack tailing design.
