In recent years, urban sprawl brought some problems like Excessive land consumption and suburbanization in China, Residents’travel distance increased, and Traffic congestion, environmental degradation, excessive energy consumption arose. More and more scholars have realized we can’t solve the urban problem in a single way, the transit oriented development (TOD) gained recognition in academic field. The large-scale construction of rail transit has been carried out in large cities in China, increasing the rail transit’s share rate is an important issue in the development of TOD. With the recent appearance of "last kilometer", the bicycle is considered an effective way to connect with the rail transit, which can improve the accessibility of the rail transit station and has unique advantages in environmental protection and flexibility.Firstly, This paper introduces the basic characteristics, traffic characteristics and spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of bicycle and rail transit, and points out the necessity and feasibility of bicycle transfer to rail transit. Then this paper analysis the correlation between rail transit’s ridership and TOD factors using the multiple regression model, the results indicate that the transfer condition of rail transportation related is the key of rail transit’s ridership. Then using the data from a survey of four Nanjing rail transit stations, and establishes the factors analysis model of transfer factor with SPSS,results will be classified into four factors, named bicycle travelers’perception factor, travel factor, personal factor and TOD factor. According to the extraction results of the factor analysis, transfer probability models were established with TOD factor and without TOD factor respectively using the survey data, results show that the BL model’s goodness of fit is better containing the TOD factor. Finally, each site’s transfer demand are calculated with the model.
