With the rapid development of the foundation of high-voltage transmission lines,more and more types of foundation apply to practice,the bored pile groups attract more attention recently. The single pile and pile groups are conducted numerical analysises with ABAQUS a finite element analysis software under the vertical load that are based on numerical analysis of a 220kV transmission line foundation of pile groups is done in this article.Many factors have been analyzed in the single pile bearing analysis such as different type of soils,pile diameters,pile lengths and elastic modulus of pile.Results of alone or combination of large pile-soil interface friction coefficient,pile diameter,pile length or soil elastic modulus show that these factor play a role in bearing capacity of the foundation.Research in stress characters of the pile groups foundation and comparing the results of single pile,many conclusions are as follows:the p-s (pressure-settlement)line destruction of the pile groups tend to be more gentle than the single pile.As the the load increasing on the pile caps,the constraint of soil inside the piles is obvious,the side friction is stonger than the single pile with the same conditions.For the good soil strata,the pile-soil interaction coefficient is relatively larger, the interaction among pile groups is enhanced and pile groups effect tends to be more obvious.Pile groups effect is better than the single pile when pile diameter is larger at the same layout because of the stronger interaction among pile groups.The length increase of piles don’t obviously influence the pile groups effect.Pile spacing plays an important role in the interaction among the pile groups and the pile groups effect.The less pile spacing,the stronger influence.As the amount of the piles increasing,the inside piles are wrapped stonger and the pile groups effect is more obvious the single pile.
