Planetary gearbox is applied more and more extensively to Oil Field Equipment,since its advantage of large transmission ratio,compact structure and good flexibility and so on. Because the oil field machinery working environment is bad, and mechanical system is huge, as long as one component damage arise may lead to stop fault,which is relatively large, and even the possibility of accident occurrence. The accident will spend a lot of manpower and financial resources. Oil front line staff advocate continuous operation, seriously affected the work efficiency. Therefore, it has great research significance for Planetary gearbox fault diagnosis.According to the characteristics of planetary gearbox, analyse its failure mode and signal processing and compared the results.This paper first analyzed the fault mode according to the gearbox failure forms and historical data on the planetary gearbox. Extract the characteristic frequency and the frequency of its components on the basis of its structure and transmission theory.Also simulated the ommon types of fault.As for the broken teeth fault of planet wheel, sun gear and the ring gear are carried out separately analyzed. Using acceleration sensor and supporting the collection system to collect vibration signals. The relevant program f digital signal processing were programmed by MATLAB, the collection data had been holographic analyzed in time, frequency and phase. Then done the work of reprocessing the signal, zoom spectrum and wavelet envelope processing,and ompared their merits and practicalities. It’s the first time that phase information is retained in the case of a planetary gearbox for analysis.And it take a multi-channel simultaneous sampling, drawing two-dimensional holographic transfer frequency spectrum diagnosis malfunction. Experimental results show that the thesis of some theories of planetary gearboxes analysis is correct,extraction characteristics of the signal is consistent with the actual situation at the same time. In planetary gearbox fault diagnosis we can clearly distinguish the different types of faults, and can be used in the actual fault diagnosis. We can draw a conclusion that this paper have certain reference meanings to the fault diagnosis of the planetary gearbox later in the near future.
