Concrete mixer truck(hereinafter referred to as mixer) as a special concrete transport vehicles is widely used in infrastructure construction. Mixer has a huge structure, high quality, high center of gravity. In order to ensure homogeneity of concrete and prevent segregation, the mixing tube is always in the process of moving at the transport time. Its function and structural features has created some problems, such as overheight, overloading, prone to rollover when cornering and the like. Since the mixer frequently travel between the mixing plant and the construction site, the transportation distances are very long. Concrete mixer usually travel on city roads. So, the above problem is particularly needed much attention.Taking a 12 cubic meters of concrete mixers as the study model, the mixer of the vehicle is 3990mm’s height, close to the city roads 4m height limit. To ensure that the vehicle loading capacity is unchanged, we cancel the original mixer subframe and directly assemble the fore-stock and rear support bracket on the main frame of this form. After that, we study and analyze this structural style. This paper analyzes the load of the mixer which we cancel the original mixer subframe and directly assemble the fore-stock and rear support bracket on the main frame of this form in the bending conditions, the twist conditions and the emergency braking conditions. Based on the finite element theory, We build a stirring vehicle frame finite element model using Ansys software. The corresponding parts of the maximum stress and maximum displacement were analyzed under the three conditions. Then we modify the main frame in accordance with the relevant theory on the main frame of the vehicle. We present three improvement measures. Finally, the improved mixer frame is in Ansys static and modal analysis in the three typical conditions. The simulation results and the frame before the improvements results are compared. The compared results indicate improved frame for mixer upload part have a more significant improvement. In this way, the height of the mixer is reduced 120 mm which comply with the state regulations.
