Study Of BIM Application In Construction Enterprises

As times go by, BIM technology has been advanced from initial concept stage to extensive exploration and application stage. The further application of BIM is being taken actively in project owners, designers, constructors. As the executors of BIM application, the constructors should guarantee BIM plays a leading role during construction of the program under the support of project owners. Combining document literature and construction project of China Railway twenty-one Bureau in Zhengzhou(east square), this paper analyzed and studied the application of BIM technology in construction enterprises. Some results have been carried out from the perspectives of the obstacles that constructors have to face during the process of popularization, the method of organizing BIM team and cultivating special talents, the illustration of specific BIM application in construction projects and the analysis of investment and returns of BIM technology. The specific results are as follows:(1) At present, the popularization of BIM technology in constructors is faced with many obstacles. The related standards of BIM in China already lagged actual demands behind, thereby the timely publication of applicable standards is urgently needed. There still exist some problems such as lack of localization and poor interoperability in software, because related software is in scarcity in China and much software is introduced from abroad. It is of great necessity to develop BIM software.Moreover, project participators in BIM are still confronted with the challenges of transforming conventional thinking modes and their insufficient understanding of BIM, so they need to keep exploring to meet the requirements of industry information.In practical implementation of BIM technology projects, effective application model and working process are in deficiency and it is requisite to perfect them as soon as possible by summarizing experience seriously.(2) Construction enterprises need to establish their own BIM teams and cultivate related talents in order to effectively promote the application of BIM technology. Existing practice has been proved that the construction builders driven model is the ideal model at present. The key of this model is to build BIM team which takes team leader and project leader as core. To ensure the supply of talents, it is essential to establish coordinate talent cultivation mechanism by adapting cooperative cultivation with university, drawing support of professional BIM team, combining practice and inner training of enterprise etc.(3) The popularization and application of BIM technology should follow thoughts from single to complex, explore and perfect related theories and technologies step by step. The specific applications of BIM technology in east square construction project in Zhengzhou incorporates the establishment of three-dimensional models,arrangement and the layout of temporary facility and construction site, the checking of collision detection and solving related errors, utilizing visualization technical disclosure by video method, breaking down work structure, detailed schedule of program, simulation of construction schedule. All of these applications bring a lot of benefits for projects.(4) It is indispensable for constructors to spend a certain amount of money in hardware and software equipment, talents cultivation and other aspects during the process of introducing BIM technology. Of course, these investment can produce significant returns in individuals, departments, projects, enterprises and industries.After comparing investment and returns, this paper proposed that constructors utilize BIM technology in projects, which can not only have active impacts on industry but also bring considerable economic benefits, thus, the application of BIM technology should be further promoted.After analyzing obstacles in the process of popularization of BIM technology in China, this paper investigated the methods of setting up BIM team from theperspective of constructors and discussed the pattern of cultivating BIM talents.Specially, this paper utilized actual project to show and verify the specific applications of BIM technology in project. What’s more, the investment-returns analysis indicated constructors should accelerate the popularization and application of BIM technology to adapt the information development of construction.
