The Space Prototype Of The “Shui An Shan Ju” And The Architectural Philosophy Of Wang Shu

The rapid urbanization process, the world’s largest amount construction, the complex cultural background as well as the vision of the "beautiful China" constitutes the realistic context of contemporary Chinese architectural design development. In the context of this reality, many Chinese architects enter a state of no root floating, resulted in a lot of architects go after the international trend, the majority of architectural works has no self_value. On the other hand there are many architects appeared in our country, such as Wang Shu, Liu Jiakun,Dong yugan,showed a sharp criticism of attitude, they are a critical step in architecture design and urban studies, think that the contemporary mainstream architectural creation for traditional cognition and inheritance is not healthy, you need to build different from modernism style and national style of contemporary Chinese architecture. In 2012, Wang Shu won the Pritzker Architecture Prize, his award is a recognition of the Chinese architectural experiments in the world architecture.In this paper,the main research object is the first big public architecture "ShuiAnShanJu" after Wang Shu won the Pritzker Architecture Prize.Through the analysis of "ShuiAnShanJu", on the one hand,we hope to know the design methods and concept of the "ShuiAnShanJu".On the other hand we want to know architectural philosophy of Wang Shu.We also hope that we can get something about the analytical and research on today’s architectural design industry current situation through to the analysis of the " ShuiAnShanJu ".The thesis includes three parts,the first part,the introduction of regional environment and the background of the "ShuiAnShanJu" and the architect Wang Shu.The backgroud includs today’s status quo of the architectural design field in China, as well as the introspection of the current situation of Chinese construction industry; The regional environment includes three level and macro level, HangZhou, micro level bank on of Xiangshan campus, microscopic level and the "ShuiAnShanJu" at specific sites. Then indtroduces Wang Shu’s multiple identities for traditional and multiple attitudes. On the basis of introducing the time background, geographical environment, and wang shu, it is concluded that Wang Shu’s prototype for the local construction mainly come from the three traditional areas: traditional villages, classical gardens, the ancient landscape. The second part analysising the "ShuiAnShanJu" from the traditional villages, classical gardens, the ancient landscape, building techniques four aspects. The third part of the conclusion,Through the study of " ShuiAnShanJu ",we want to know the understanding and the design methods of the local construction by Wang Shu. To show the method and wisdom of solving the problem of contemporary Chinese architecture, and also hope producing the reflection and enlightenment of the present situation of China’s contemporary architectural design field.
