The pneumatic membrane structure is a typical flexible structure, the rigidity and stability of the structure are required to be reinforced by the cable. At present, the cable air-supported membrane structures are popular, but the experimental study and theoretical analysis are relatively backward. Therefore, experimental study and mechanics simulation of the cable air-supported membrane structures are carried out in this dissertation.Firstly, this dissertation introduces the research situation of the cable air-supported membrane structures in domestic and foreign. The cable air-supported membrane structures are studied by experiment. By changing the internal pressure under different cable networks, the cable force changes in various cases are obtained.Secondly, the finite element models are built according to the experimental model, and the finite results of the experimental model are carried out. The validity and accuracy of the finite element model are verified through comparing finite result with experimental result.Then, the theoretical calculation formula of cable and membrane force is derived and the models of practical engineering project are built, and the effect which the rise span ratio, internal pressure of the cable air-supported membrane structures on the cable and membrane force, cable force, membrane force and deformation of the structure with different cable net layout are studying. Comparing and analyzing the incidence of the different cable net on the mechanical characteristics.Finally, the mechanical responses of cable air-supported membrane structures under wind load are simulated. Wind loads are input with four conditions under different wind direction angles and studying the mechanical response of the cable air-supported membrane structures with different cable net layout under every working condition, then carrying on the comparative analysis of three kinds of cable net layout, elaborating the improvement degree of the cable air-supported membrane structures on the wind resistance performance with different cable net layout.
