A green solvent extraction process with non-fluorinated quaternary phosphonium ionic liquids P66614 Cl for removing uranium from carbonate solutions has been developed which can transfer uranyl carbonate complexe anion from the wastewater to the ionic liquid effectively and efficiently. In this study, we measured the best conditions of the extraction of ionic liquids P66614 Cl for uranyl carbonate complexe. F- ions have no effect on the extraction efficiency for uranium extraction. The extraction mechanism is anion exchange determined by ESI-MS and ion chromatography. Uranium could be completely recovered from the ILs using a NaOH solution contacted with the loaded IL. The reuse of the ILs was proved to be better. Subsequently,a series of experiments were performed on extraction uranyl from nitric acid medium using P66614 Cl as the extractant. The extraction efficiency is better in high acidity using pure ionic liquid. The extraction mechanism is anion exchange determined by ESI-MS.Task specific ionic liquids in extraction of metal have great development, so it has been widely studied. We synthesized two ionic liquids with functional groups of extraction(monoamide and phosphate ester) and some research was performed on the performance of extraction.
