Islamic Characteristics Change Of Urban Landscape In Yinchuan During The Transitional Period

Since the Reform and Opening-up, with the acceleration of globalization and urbanization, and the background of market economy, cultural orientation of urban construction has gradually become the local competition strategy of urban redevelopment. In the new period, national culture with local characteristics has become a city culture construction, cultural consumption of the new style and new orientation. Meanwhile, the development of culture promote the rise of the cultural industry and accelerated development, which to improve the city image, to attract social talents and capital investment, to improve the competitiveness and influence of the city. Islamic culture is one of the northwest area is a typical national culture.Mainly with han culture in modern Chinese cities, cultural turn of city consider islamic characteristics change of landscape as a phenomenon. During the transitional period, under the leading of the new Marxism school, physical landscape of part of the city has appeared islamization process in hui’s neighborhood of Chinese mainland.However, under the influence of the back Modernism trend, Non-material landscape appears the collision and fusion of multiculturalism. Meanwhile, different Muslim groups on identity of landscape islamization also exist differences. But related research has relatively weaked so far. So based on landscape perspective, taking Yinchuan city as research cases, this paper focuses on studying the spatial pattern characteristics and the driving mechanism.The article adopts the method of multidisciplinary crossover study, based on research thought from importing problem to theoretical basis and empirical research.The paper is divided in six chapters, which interpret the problem of islamization in Yinchuan from architecture landscape, folk landscape and identity on landscape islamization. Summarizing the relevant concepts on landscape islamization. Combing the relevant theoretical research progresses and theoretical basises. Arranging thecharacteristics and mechanism of the urban landscape islamization/deislamisation.Analyzing the different landscape islamization/deislamisation of pattern, process and mechanism in Yinchuan. And constructing the theoretical model.The empirical results of Yinchuan indicate that(1) the space distribution of architecture landscape islamisation appears relatively unbalanced situation: the types of experience monocentric agglomeration(single-center) and polycentric concentration layout(multiple-center) throughout evolution tendency. The types of islamic landscape increase residential buildings, commercial buildings, administrative buildings, culture and health buildings on religious buildings basis. To improve the city image, to develop the tourism and leisure and to attract social talents and capital investment are the main functions. The architecture landscape islamization of Yinchuan is driven by the leading part of government and developers, together with the assisting force of Muslim.(2)Analyzed islamic food, clothing, living, marriage,funeral, festival and other aspects, folk landscape appears the characteristics of development of non-islamization. The life demand and cultural mentality of Muslim is internal; institutional change and islamic culture education and surrounding relationship is external, which commonly drive the changes of the folk landscape.(3)Different age groups of Muslim have significant differences on identity of landscape islamization: Muslim groups in less than 30 years old is the weakest,followed from 31 to 60 years old, more than 60 years old is the strongest. At the same time, its impact factors and significant degree also exist certain differences.
