Infrared scene simulation is a high-tech simulation of real infrared scene images generated by computer. It’s been widely used duing to its unique infrared characteristics such as all-weather and all-time capabilities, good concealment etc. Firstly, this paper analyzed the infrared radiation characteristics of typical target, established the infrared radiation model of target and scene, the atmospheric transmission model, and the image representation model of infrared radiation characteristics. Secondly, the author used 3ds Max and Unity to accomplish building 3d geometry models of typical target and scene, and took advantage of Visual Studio 2013 platform to compile the infrared texture transformation software. Then, by analyzing and comparing the image quality evaluation methods based on the gray level and structural similarity, the author proposed an Improved Mean Absolute Error method and established a full reference image quality evaluation model combined with the structural similarity evaluation method in wavelet domain; using the reliable image quality evaluation model, the author simulated the glass under different temperature, and compared the simulated images with the real infrared images of the same temperature which proved the reliability of the infrared model. Last but not least, the author finished structuring the infrared scene, and generated the infrared scene images of different height, distance and field angle based on the platform of Unity.
