With the development of economic and the improvement of the people’s living standards, the dependence from the every walk of life to the electrical power system is increasingly. The electrical power system has become an important basis for the healthy and rapidly development of national economy.The safety and reliable operation of electrical power system will make a serious impact on the society stability. The failures of power supply can cause heavy machine malfunction, casualties and even social unrest.As the main artery of the electrical power system, the malfunction of the overhead transmission line caused by the line aging, tower tilting and meteorological disasters makes a great threat to the security of the power system operation. Thus, the effective realization of the transmission line fault monitoring and early warning has a great meaning to the safety operation of the power system. Recently, the on-line monitoring system is regarded as an important subject by professors in this field, various monitoring method is invented. But few studies about the power supply method of the on-linemonitoring, and the traditional method of power supply is always used.Considering of the wide range an the complex environment of the transmission lines, we cannot find a power supply method to use in various environments. it is necessary to design a new power supply method.As a project topic of Jincheng Coal, a power-over-fiber-system is designed in the basis of the some analysis, which is about the problem of the power supply in the process of the on-line monitoring devices at Jincheng Coal and the reference research at home and abroad.The power-over-fiber-system is designed in the basis of the core theory of“power transmission through the fiber”. The peripheral circuit meeting the requirements is designed and analysis through experiment.Finally, as the greatest advantage of the power-over-fiber-system, the parallel transmission of power and information is putted. The feasibility of parallel transmission method is analyzed and the parallel system is designed.Finally, a parallel transmission of power and information is putted in the based on the improved-WDM. The Optisystem is used to study the feasibility of the parallel transmission system, and the system is designed.
