As a clean and efficient new-style energy source, in many countries, LNG is listed as the preferred fuel. LNG ship not only refers to the ships which use LNG energy as fuel to provide power, but also the special ships which take the liquefied natural gas from the LNG plant to the receiving station. With the growth of international demand for clean energy, the application prospects of LNG ship is very good, and it’s known as the “crown jewel” of world’s shipbuilding. In view of the ultra low boiling point, flammable and explosive as well as other high risk characteristics of LNG, electrical explosion protection is very important.Power rapidly current-intercepted protection technology is a widely used technique, this study is based on the application of the electrical part of the LNG ship. Despite the research on intrinsically safe power supply technology has decades history, with the emergence of new electronic devices, it will produce a new generation of products, and this is one of the examples which use MOSFET to current-intercepted switch. This topic starts with the choice of devices and circuit topology, and the protection of DC electric circuit as an entry point, what’s more it makes an comprehensive research to the power rapidly current-intercepted switch, forming a circuit model, providing a useful example to the research and development of intrinsically safe power supply technology. What’s more, according to the requirement of LNG ship explosion protection, the topic designs an flameproof intrinsically high frequency output switching power supply as circuit driver. The switching power supply makes single-end flyback converter as the main topology, takes the single piece TOPSwitch chip and high frequency switch power supply transformer as the core, its input is 220 V AC, and its output is 15 V DC.
