With the development of power electronics and related tecnology, three-phase voltage source rectifier(VSR) is widely used in many kinds of power electronic converters as the first-stage converter to realize steady DC voltage, unity input power factor and four-quadrant operation. At present, the applications of three-phase VSR is mainly focused on high-power variable-frequency air conditioner, industry variable-frequency converter with four-quadrant operation function and HVDC Light, so it has significant social and economic benefits. The modulation algorithm, control strategy and implementation technique of three-phase VSR are studied widely and deeply, and lots of research achivements are obtained. However, there are also many practical problems to be resolved in some aspects:(1) the problem of common-mode voltage suppression at DC side of three-phase VSR is not considered by the existing modulaiton algorithms, which causes serious EMI conducted interference;(2) problems of dynamic response and current sharing of three-phase VSR are also not considered by the existing control strategies, which are key to the steady and safe operation of high-power multi-paralleled three-phase VSR. Considering the above two aspects, the paper deteimines the research content and objective, then theoretical research and experiment research are carried out. The main content and innovation of the paper are showed as follow:(1) Analyze the development conditions of three-phase rectifier, especially three-phase VSR, inc luding the power circuit, modulation algorithm and control strategy, extract the existing problems and performance requirements, and determine the research method;(2) Prove that single-stage and dual-paralleled three-phase VSR are both passivity system, put forward the passivity control strategy of three-phase VSR, which is verified by simulation.(3) Propose the definition of common-mode voltage in three-phase VSR, analyze the influence on common-mode voltage by zero-vector, nozero-vector and deadtime setting, put forward the minimized common-mode voltage modulation algorithm and deadtime conpensation method, which is verified by simulation.(4) Construct a three-phase VSR system simulation platform by means of MATLAB/SIMULINK, design the control system of single-stage three-phase VSR, which combines passivity control strategy and minimized common-mode voltage modulation algorithm, verify the correctness of the above control system.(5) Realize a 5.0k W single-stage three-phase VSR system powered by three-phase AC power supply of 208 V, including hardware design and software design, achieve lots of experiment results by hardware debug and software debug, verify correctness of the above control system.
