At present, the asphalt concrete pavement in our country has been widely used in various grade road, and become the main form of pavement structure at all levels of road. The reason why it is widely used is that it is more convenient in construction and maintenance, also it has some other features like smooth, without seams, driving comfort, good vibration damping performance and so on. However, the asphalt concrete pavement also has its own shortcomings in practice. Under the combination of traffic load and environmental factors, the surface layer of pavement due to its own factors may appear all sorts of forms of cracking damage such as reflection cracking, fatigue crack. Should the measures not take timely to deal with the cracks, the asphalt concrete pavement would cause the further damage of water logging and aggravate the destruction of pavement, thus produce the problems like being washed, peeling, pumping slurry and pot holes. Asphalt surface rutting processing also need to attach attention, and it has important influence on driving comfort, and rut improper handling not only affect the service life of the asphalt road surface, serious even may cause traffic accidents.According to the above problems, many experts and scholars propose the new method of improving asphalt concrete surface characteristic through unremitting efforts, on the basis of the mechanism of the reinforced concrete, which through the asphalt pavement with geogrid reinforcement to achieve the purpose of improving the properties of asphalt pavement. At present, this method has become a restrain of asphalt pavement cracking damage and an effective mean of reducing rutting.This article reveals the mechanism of glass fiber geogrid reinforced pavement and analyzes the function of grid position in fiberglass geogrid reinforcement. The experiment studied the contribution and regularity of the fiberglass geogrid on improving the durability of asphalt concrete pavement, formed the effect of different types of glass fiber geogrids and different laying process in the road on reinforced pavement structure, and summarized the construction technology of fiberglass geogrid reinforced asphalt concrete pavement. |
