The testing machine for liner on spherical bearings have an important place in the experiment of properties testing of liner for spherical bearings. The performance evaluation for liner is affected by the temperature of the testing machine. At present,whole heating is the most conventional and common method to exert temperature on testing machine at home and abroad. However, by this method, the non-test site was heated, thus has a negatively effect on testing machine and properties testing of line.Moreover it has a slower heating process and an inefficiency.In order to eliminate the influences of whole heating on testing machine and properties testing of line, and improve temperature’s rising, a locally heating device is designed and fabricated. In this paper, the main study as follows:Firstly, the theoretical basis for calculation of the temperature field was described.The mathematical model of heat transiting shaft was established. The basic equation for temperature field on condition of localized heating was obtained and achieved the numerical solution to exerting temperature in order to get the target temperature. Through finite element analysis software, the variation of temperature field after exerting temperature was simulated, the theoretical calculation of temperature field was verified,the temperature difference in testing area was obtained, and the relationship between the testing temperature and exerting temperature was received.The localited heating devise by silicone rubber heating slice and inductance heating were separately designed based on theory heat transfer and electromagnetic induction. The type of silicone rubber slice’ select and the design of the system for temperature control were the key work in silicone rubber heating progress. And for inductance localited heating, the important and main work is the design of electro-magnetic inductor and the system of temperature control.The localited heating temperature experiment was done by testing machine for liner.The temperature data on different positions were obtained after exerting temperature.Compare these experiment data with the simulation data. The correctness of temperaturedistribution by simulation and resulting by theoretical formula was verified. The curves representing the relation between the temperature of testing area and the temperature of heat-transfering bearing was analyzed. Compared to finite element analysis results, the correct relationship between temperature on different parts was verified, and the localized heating temperature device was viable.
