With the development of construction machinery and digital information, the intelligent construction machinery will become the future development direction. As an important element of intelligent construction machinery, the twin spool electro-hydraulic proportional multiple direction valve which based on separate control of actuator ports has become an important part whitch determine the overall machine performance. So it is necessary to study the twin spool electro-hydraulic proportional multiple direction valve. This paper stand in the perspective of engineering application, taking a certain model two spool electro-hydraulic proportional multiple direction valve as the research object, and carried out theoretical and experiment research about the valve’s flow field and valve ports characteristics. The result will provide a theoretical basic research on the two spool electro-hydraulic proportional multiple direction valve.Twin spool electro-hydraulic proportional multiple direction valve’s research status at home and abroad is summarized, and question on the valve’s flow field and valve ports characteristics are put forward.The flow field distribution of the pilot valve and main valve are studied with CFD numerical stimulation, and the influence law of the valve’s opening and inlet flowrate on velocity and pressure and turbulent kinetic energy discribution and on incidence angles and flow coefficient and steady-state fluid force were obtained.The orifice area and pressure drop characteristic and flow coefficient and steady-state fluid force of the pilot valve and main vale are analyzed. The orifice area is analyzed with mathematical method, the influence law of the valve’s opening and inlet flowrate on the pressure drop characteristic and steady-state fluid force are studied. On the basis of orifice area and pressure characteristic, the flow coefficient is obtained.The flow field distribution and pressure drop characteristic of the main valve are analyzed by experimental method. The experimental model is designed based on similarity theory and the Particle Image Velocimetry experimental table is established. With the experimental table, the velocity vector and pressure drop of the main valve are analyzed.
