With the process of the national urbanization’s unceasing advancement, the imbalance of traffic demand and supply problems in cities has become more and more serious.Some areas in city arise many traffic problems caused by the uneven road resources assignment,and it embodies that the traditional road of two-way traffic mode can not meet people’s travel demand. One-way traffic as a city road traffic flow organizational form, has shown its unique advantages in a large number of practice, but also have some shortcomings. How to reasonablely and effectively analyse the benefit of one-way traffic’s implementing and evaluate of it is essential for a successful one-way traffic’s organization.This paper starts with the benefit from the implementation of one-way traffic, then analyzes the good and adverse effects it caused on the relevant road,intersecting roads and the surrounding road network.The thesis defines the range of the the single line area based on the summary of existing methods and made a reasonable explanation and provides the new method for the analyse of the detour and the intersection’s promotion.A systematic summary of evaluation theory has been made, according to evaluation process’ principles of nature, science, operation, a new one-way traffic implementing benefit evaluation index system is established based on the need of evaluation and the results of benefit analysis, and the meaning and quantitative methods of the index. The classification and analysis of the indicators will improve the evaluation results more systemic and scientific.Through the analysis of the principle, advantages and disadvantages of existing evaluation methods and their applicability,this paper propose the benefit evaluation model of the principal component analyse(PCA) based on the combination of objective and subjective weighting for one-way traffic implementing in accordance with the characteristics of established index system structure.The relevant theoretical models are described, introduce the effective testing theory to test the effectiveness of the evaluation results,and classify the evaluation results to provide the corresponding decision-making basis for the one-way traffic’s improvement and implementation.Finally, applicate this evaluation model on the benefit evaluation for part of one-way roads in Nanjing City, acquire the corresponding data through the current traffic survey and made an example to the demonstration of the model,then obtained the the selected object’s evaluation conclusion. According to the problems occur in the progress of evaluation,this paper offers some corresponding measures and proposals to help improve the implementation effect of the one-way traffic.
