Timely and effective traffic information can be provided by road sensor. With the development of Chinese highway industry, we pay more and more attention to the importance of the road sensor. There are many productions of it from the West countries. It’s a significant task for us to make a perfect production of road sensor.The topic of this paper is about the optimization and improvement of the circuit and system of the road sensor, which is mainly discuss the improvement of the module of salinity measurement. This paper propose a improvement of the material of electrode and the parameter of circuit. And it mainly come up with a temperature model of the salinity measurement. This paper make a detailed description of the building, specific application and the realization of software of the temperature model. This temperature model make the salinity measurement of different temperature, especially for the low temperature, is more accurate. The average error of salinity measurement rate of our design is about 0.2% from 0.0% to 15.0% and 0.5% from 15.0 to 21.0%. And the average error of freezing point rate of our design is about 0.5% for the entire measuring range.The performance of road sensor is improved from this research and it can provide more accurate and effective data for the road real-time monitoring. It can be used for road,airport and stadium security monitoring in the future.
