The world automobile industry develops rapidly. Automobile production and household car amount increase. All these reasons highlight the global energy and environmental problems. Especially as the main highway transportation, trucks need more power, as a result they consume more fuel. As is kown to all, hybrid vehicles and pure electric vehicles become the main direction of development of automobile industry. But so far, the internal combustion engine car with gasoline or diesel-fueled is still the principal part and the pillar of production. Therefore, the development of green, environmental protection, energy saving combustion engine vehicles has become one of the main objectives of the current vehicle development. However, the premise of the vehicle under certain saving technology itself, driver’s driving level great impact on fuel consumption of vehicles. Designing a intelligent system to standardize operations and improve the driver’s skill level is significance to achieve the energy saving effect.This paper focus on the automobile carrier, designed a system that can assist drivers and improve their driving standard. Under Current status of domestic transportation, determined the design requirements for the intelligent ECO assistant system needs to be the basis of two aspects. The one is analysising the existing green drive assist system function and the other is following the general requirements of the automotive electronics designing. Select XC2733 M which was made by Infineon Corporation as a system master chip. This chip has 32 bit performance. Then designed hardware circuits such as the power module, the digital acquisition module, the gateway module, the MCU module and so on. All the experiments were carried out using Infineon car-on-chips, which greatly improved the real-time, reliability, stability and integration of the system and well meeted the low power requirement.In addition, according to the basic requirements of the automotive software,we designed the software of the intelligent driver assistance system. It includes the main program, data collection, store and transmission program, analysis and evaluation of driving conditions, real-time display and warning procedures.To achieve high speed and reliable system operation requirements, reasonably arrange the procedures that have higher real-time requirements to interrupt. And design the watchdog program to prevent procedures confusion.Finally, test the system included bench testing and real vehicle testing. We debugged the system to insure the input information accurate and working reliable. Ultimately, get a feasible ECO intelligent drive assist system that based on driving behaviors.
