The revenues of tourism occupy a higher proportion of national economy with the fast development of Chinese economy in recent years. Transportation has drawn attention of governors and authorities as an important prerequisite in tourism development. Scenic highway, shouldering the responsibility of transporting the tourists from terminals to destination, is an indispensable component of tourism transportation system, also as a part of landscape of scenic region. The roadside environment, such as the layout of drainage facilities and coverage of slope vegetation, can directly influence the landscape and tourists’ moods. However, the layout of drainage facilities and roadside vegetation recovery of scenic highway do not receive enough attention of authorities, the project is just carried out as those in normal highway. The ornamental value and spatial level of landscape are destroyed as a consequence of excessive masonry facilities and inappropriate vegetation recovery technology. As the reasons given above, research on roadside drainage-protection and vegetation recovery of scenic highway were carried out based on the characteristics of scenic highway,The purpose of the research is to develop technologies of roadside drainage-protection and vegetation restoration which are more suitable for the special environments of scenic regions. First, drainage design principles of scenic highway were raised by data collection and document analysis of design principles of scenic highway and drainage design norms. Then drainage-protection technologies which suitable for scenic environment features were proposed through analysis of the applicability of common drainage and protection measures in combination of practical projects. 14 species were chosen to resistance tests by scenic highway vegetation sifting principles. Clustering analysis method was utilized to classify the results of resistance tests, 6 species of plants, eg. Medicago sativa L.etc. that suitable for vegetation restoration of scenic highway were sifted from 14 species. By analyzing the suitability of different vegetation restoration technologies and results of seeding experiments, roadside vegetation restoration technologies were chosen to adapt to different sections of scenic highway slopes with different grades recovery techniques. Narat ecological scenic region was chosen as the researching project. 16 evaluation indicators were raised by analyzing of engineering protection effects, natural ecology effects, and landscape effects. AHP-FSE method was utilized to build the evaluation model with the help of MATLAB processing. Finally, the indicator system and evaluation methods that suitable for evaluating the effectiveness of roadside vegetation restoration were build.The results of the research provide specific measures and technologies in ecological restoration. The ultimate aim of the research is to promote the scenic tourism and ornamental value while declining the environmental destruction in highway construction. The research achievement has been successfully applied in Narat scenic region and performed impressively, it has practical significance in scenic highway roadside ecological restoration. |
