In the long-term process of the theoretical research and engineering practice, much attention is paid to the stability analysis and protection technology of high slope. However, because the different conditions and technology measures have their own applications and their applicability, economy, beauty and harmony are different in various engineering and geological conditions, so it has the extremely important significance to slope stability evaluation, reasonable adjustment and combination of the supporting methods and the regular research of slope stability for short-term and long-term. Therefore, in this paper, the slope stability is studied based on geological survey of the slope on the AN-CHUAN Highway engineering with the concept of “safety, economy, environmental protection, harmony, comfort and so on”, the main contents are as follows: 1. According to the investigation of engineering geology under the AN-CHUAN Highway, it is analsyzed the characteristics, types and distribution regularity of the high slopes. 2. Relied on the previous model, the simplified mechanical model of rock slope is built considering the influence of seepage water pressure to the slope stability and mechanical calculation formula is deduced. From these, mechanics relationship of rock slope is acquired among slope height, slope toe and the ultimate fracture angle under the influence of seepage water pressure. 3. Field test is performed at the actual project in order to carry out the deep research of high slope slip resistant protection technology and eventually, service conditions and the protective effect in different measures are found.
