ConXL node is a kind of node with rapid construction, standardized manufacturing and environmental protection. According to the domestic steel structure design code, in this paper, the bolt spacing and location of nodes are rearranged, to examine the mechanical properties of the improved fabricated nodes under low monotonic load and cyclic load by Abaqus nonlinear finite element analysis, as well as the influence of column thickness, flange plate thickness t1, and flange plate thickness t2, on the performance of the new beam-column prefabricated node. Furthermore, the effect on properties of the node caused by arc weaken depth e and weaken length d were studied, and the appropriate scope was determined. Through the full finite element analysis,we get the following results:(1) the new fabricated node failure occurred in arc weaken area, in line with the "strong column weak beam", "strong node weak component" design concept, and have good seismic performance. Increasing the thickness of the column section can obviously improve the node strength and the stability of the node as a whole. For the new node, considering economic factor, the high thickness ratio of square box steel column should be controlled between 22 to 25.(2) Reasonably increasing flange plate thickness t1 can effectively increase the carrying capacity of the node, improve the stress state and slow node stiffness degradation. By the comparison, flange plate thickness high thickness ratio h/t1 should be controlled between 8.5 to 10.3. Increasing the flange plate thickness t1 can greatly improve the seismic performance of the specimens.By comparing, the flange plate thickness high thickness ratio h/t2 should be controlled between 14.7 to 17.2.(3) The right flange weakening depth should both need to make sure the bearing capacity of the node and as far as possible moving plastic hinge joint away from the nodes. Though analysis, the ratio of dent depth to flange width should be controlled between 0.20 to 0.225, and the ratio of of dent length to beam height should be controlled between 0.70 to 0.80.
