In this paper, take a domestic A-class car for the study, analysis and evaluate of handing stability of full vehicle as the target, application multi-body system dynamics analysis software ADAMS, Including the establishment of McPherson front suspension, the trailing arm torsion beam rear suspension, steering system, car body (Simplified), tire, power system etc the vehicle dynamic model. Among them, the rear suspension of the study models uses a trailing arm torsion beam structure, for more accurate simulation of the prototype vehicle in various experimental conditions of the real situation, the application of HyperMesh to the rear axle assembly finite element processing, get the Modal Neutral File (MNF), the use of a rigid flexible coupling modeling methods to establish rear suspension model in ADAMS.Based on the whole vehicle model, Referring to GB/T 6323-2014" Controllability and Stability Test Procedure for Automobile" include Pylon course slalom, steering wheel angle step input, steering wheel angle pulse input, steering returnability, steering portability, steady-state steering etc simulation on six project test cases, to process and analyze the data of simulation test. Among them, since the simulation project and test methods related to handing stability in ADAMS/Car are not well corresponding with our current project and the methods specified in GB/T 6323-2014. So part of the test according to the requirements of the national standard and the specific parameters of the mode, the method of the preparation of the control file to achieve, specific control files include steady-state rotation test drive control file, Pylon course slalom test drive control file and drive parameter files, steering portability test drive control file and drive parameter files.According to QC/T 480-1999 "criterion thresholds and evaluation of controllability and stability for automobiles" for each test project scoring evaluation and the comprehensive score evaluation of vehicle handing stability, and so judge the merits of the handing stability of the A-Class.
