The Spiral Bevel Gear, because of its Advantages of large load capacity, Stable transmission, High transmission efficiency, Low noise, are the important parts of transmission device in automobile, electric tool, engineering machinery,Aviation, navigation, machinery industry. With the development and application at high speed, overloading, lightweight,the spiral bevel gear under complex conditions of strength and dynamic performance requirements more and more high. Relative to the low speed, the dynamic performance of gear system at high speed have great change and affect the safety and reliability of the system operation.In this paper, using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation technology, the spiral bevel gear gear pair has carried on the static and dynamic contact analysis. Considering the influence of the speed of gear meshing transmission performance, the dynamic meshing characteristics and vibration characteristics are respectively analyzed under the state of high speed gear system.The mainly work of this study are as follows:(1)Using parametric function of UG software in GC toolkit,establish three-di mensional solid model of the spiral bevel gear. The whole tooth model is simp lified to six teeth of gear meshing, and virtual assembly the driving and driven gear.(2)The virtual assembly of a pair of five of the spiral bevel gear tooth model is imported to ANSYS Workbench and the nonlinear contact statics analysis was carried out on the gear meshing process to obtain contact stress distribution in a meshing cycle gear mesh of different location. The calculated contact stress of initial position is compared with the theoretical value to verify the accuracy of the contact finite element method.(3)Based on the static contact analysis, dynamic contact of spiral bevel gear is analyzed. And considering the influence of the rotational speed of gear contact stress, get the tooth face contact stress under different meshing point of the change and distribution. At the same time, comparatively analyzed the difference between static and dynamic analysis.(4)In the dynamics simulation software ADAMS,The gear meshing force of t he spiral bevel gear under different cases of temporal change lawof meshing s peed was analyzed on the meshing force of impact. And draw a graph of disp lacement change curve along the direction(axial, radial and circumferential) du ring the process of gear transmission.(5)The modal analysis is done in the ANSYS Workbench software under the high speed rotating of the spiral bevel gear to get the gear dynamic frequency and vibration mode. Comparison the relationship of vibration frequency at high speed with gear meshing frequency and rotating frequency,and resonance phenomenon of high speed gear system was verified not exist. The influence of different speed on the modal characteristics of the gear is comparatively analyzed, and the centrifugal deformation of the spiral bevel gear in high speed condition influences inherent frequency and vibration mode of the gear.
