At present, the main methods of refining natural uranium to enriched uranium in the world are the following seven: enrichment by gas diffusion, enrichment by gas centrifuging,separation by gasdynamics,enrichment by laser,separation of isotopes by electromagnetic, chemical separation, separation by plasma.However,the only methodswhich can be using in commerce currently are enrichment by gas diffusion and centrifuging.The domestic uranium enrichment technology has completed the upgrade from diffusion to centrifugation, our country has run multiple uranium production lines by centrifugation successfully, and the regulator is undoubtedly one of the most important equipment in the centrifugal cascade system. As the main equipmenttokeep the gas flow rate and pressure in the system within a certain range,regulator whose manufacturing level will direct impact on the output and quality of uranium production line plays a crucial role in the main process of the system.Considering the particularity of uranium enrichment,the regulator can’t open no longer once it is installed and fed in the main process system in order to avoid radiation damage.So the requirement for regulator manufacturing is higher, on one hand we should ensure that the equipment is stable and reliable,and can’t be easily damaged, on the other hand it should meet the requirements of precision in pressure and flow regulating. This forced us to design the corresponding regulator test device to test its characteristics in the manufacture.Only qualified controller is applied to the production line, centrifugal uranium enrichment system running stability and product quality can be guaranteed.This article analyzes the principle of Characteristic test in the gas regulator of centrifuge enrichment process, Carried out the regulator characteristic test device of research and application. Simulate the gas regulator in the change of pressure in steady conditions. Design and manufacture of the static characteristic test device, and through the study of the static characteristic test of one qualified regulator, reverse device was verified through the experiment. At the same time, to imitation the operation condition of the regulator in the unsteady system pressure changes, made a big flow regulator, and designed structures, the dynamic characteristic test device, the using time domain measurement, to adjust the response time the first-order pure lag time were analyzed. Results show that the regulator static characteristic test device is, the inconsistency is less than xx Pa test curve,thetest data meets the requirements; Large flow regulator to a first order dynamic test device and pure lag time is less than A s and B s, the result shows that comply with the standard for the test.Based on the research and application of governor test device, test device can meet the centrifugal regulator in the stress changes in uranium production system under the condition of steady and unsteady two test requirements, manufacturing quality, guaranteed the regulator for centrifugal uranium production system provides guarantee reliable operation. Finally, the application of regulator in the centrifugal uranium enrichment system was discussed.
