Today, an increasing number of urban events, by organizing large-scale events, can attract talent and capital investment inflows, the urban functions to enhance and accelerate the pace of development of the city, have brought enormous economic benefits for the city had a profound impact. At the same time, due to the large-scale urban activities periodically short features, determine its non-permanent architectural features. Traditional reinforced concrete construction and the high cost and long construction time, in the course of energy consumption, high emission of heat, the demolition process will produce large amounts of construction waste causing environmental pollution and other issues, the traditional architectural pattern suited to the needs of city events So the research shows non-permanent building is very urgent. For these problems, low-carbon and sustainable development concept as a guide, through the Shanghai World Expo Hall Vanke case studies as well as non-permanent buildings in Wuhan Garden Expo site visits, in-depth thinking and research to first Zhengzhou Fair Park as the background, design a non-permanent exhibition space for this activity. In the selection of the building, construction, use and demolition four areas reflect low pollution, low energy consumption, low emission, ecology and recycling of resources, so that non-permanent display building in the pursuit of economic and cultural exhibition at the same time protecting the environment do so that the building in harmony with nature. This paper is divided into fore chapters, the first chapter describes the concept of large-scale urban activities and non-permanent buildings, construction and non-permanent basis on the status of low-carbon, ecology, and sustainable development aspects of the theory at home and abroad, by the former human studies were analyzed and summarized, so I designed to give theoretical support. The second chapter summarizes the starting point to mention non-permanent exhibition space designed to follow the five principles 1. According to the principle of quick and easy resource waste and environmental pollution problems and a series of major events in the city caused by the non-permanent buildings; 2 economy 3. Regional cultural principles; principle 4 carbon principles; 5. principle of sustainability. The contents of Chapter of Zhengzhou Fair Park is a first non-permanent exhibition space design, from the sketch to the final outcome, and the difficulties encountered in the design process, the solution and so on. Non-permanent exhibition space designed three themes- children’s theme pavilion of membrane materials, promotional Central Plains culture as the theme of the pavilion bamboo materials and eco-technology as the theme pavilion paper tube material. The building itself is designed to the main body, relying on the surrounding landscape design echoes the theme and reflect the local culture, architecture and landscape sketch design itself from the selection and use of building construction to the building and then dismantling the construction process reflect low-carbon environment and sustainable development. The forth chapter is summarized learning outcomes and harvesting, as well as prospects for the future large-scale events in the city a temporary exhibition space development.
