With the developing of the city, the distribution network scale is more and more big, how to guarantee the safe and stable operation of the distribution network is an urgent problem to be solved. And monitoring of distribution feeders section and line fault diagnosis of positioning is also a popular area of research. At present, the rapid development and application of distributed generation technology makes the DG access more and more frequent, which brings new difficulties and challenges to the fault section location of distribution network. Therefore,it’s necessary to research the fault location technology of the distribution network with distributed generation which is benefit for formulating the fault isolation scheme of the distribution network and fault control strategy of DG. In this paper, based on the review of the research status of fault section location in distribution network at home and abroad. the following aspects are studied deeply,for example, the location of fault section of distribution network, the coding of fault information, the establishment of switch function and evaluation function of distribution network, the fusion of fault section location algorithm, based on PSO and cloud theory.Firstly, several common DG were briefly introduced, and the principle of grid is discussed, and then analyzes the influence of DG grid for distribution network fault location. On the basis of this, this paper will further study on fault location of distribution network with DG technology.Before examining the distribution network fault section location containing DG, this paper analyzes the PSO for free DG of fault location. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the fault information of the radiation distribution network without DG, the switching function and evaluation function are established according to the topology of the distribution network and the FTU upload fault information, and the PSO algorithm is introduced into the fault location. Through a single point of failure, multiple points of failure and fault simulation containing information distortion show PSO algorithm can locate the fault, but it has some significant disadvantages.For the shortcomings of the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm and can make the application with DG in the distribution network fault diagnosis. In this paper, the particle swarm algorithm and cloud theory combined form the cloud particle swarm optimization and reconstruction of the containing of DG in distribution network switching function. Based on this, the validity and convergence of the algorithm in fault diagnosis are simulated and analyzed by using MATLAB2012 a. The simulation results show that the cloud particle swarm can accurately locate the fault section of the distribution network with DG, and the optimal parameters of the particle swarm optimization algorithm can be found by convergence simulation. Finally, the comparison with the difference algorithm and the basic particle swarm algorithm is simulated, which shows the advantage of the cloud particle swarm algorithm. This paper focuses on the research of distribution network fault location technology of particle swarm algorithm and cloud theory combining fusion algorithm for distribution network fault location with DG. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, has important theoretical significance, and fault diagnosis for subsequent distribution network comprising DG has a certain reference value.
