Multi-missiles in coordination can effectively improve the detection, tracking and attacking ability of missiles with the mutual supporting and coordination of information, tactics and firepower. As cooperative search and coordinated target assignment are key technologies of cooperative engagement of multi-missiles, this article mainly studied the modeling and simulation of image seeker, the formation cooperative search methods of multimissiles and the technology of coordinated target assignment on the basis of image-guided missile.(1) Based on the definitions and coordinate transformations of the Ground Coordinate System, the Ballistic Coordinate System, the Velocity Coordinate System and the Body Coordinate System, this chapter established a Six-degree-of-freedom model of missile. Then a two-channel coupling model of seeker and its simplified model were established which were based on the definitions and coordinate transformations of the Line-of-sight Coordinate System, the Optical Axis Coordinate System and other coordinate systems. On the basis of these, the seeker’s three working conditions- Electric Lock, Scan and Tracking – were studied. Combined the Six-degree-of-freedom model of missile with the seeker model, this chapter studied the influences of missile attitudes to the dynamic characteristics of seeker in trajectory environment.(2) In order to resolve the cooperative search problem of multi-missiles in an uncertain environment and determine the possible area of target group, this chapter carried on a research which was based on the theory of model predictive control and genetic algorithm and considered the obstacles and boundaries in the environment at the same time. On the basis of this, several missiles built a formation and made a detailed search in the possible area of a certain target group, the chapter studied cooperative search results of multi-missiles in different formations and different search patterns.(3) When the targets were found, this chapter studied the target assignment problem of multi-missiles. Considering the value, the threat level of the goal and the favorable degree of missile attack, an objective function was designed. And then a genetic algorithm was used to get a missile target matching method which maximized overall benefit.
