With the development of unmanned aerial vehicle, the method of using unmanned aerial vehicle to complete missions has gained more and more attention. Compared with single vehicle, a cluster has more power to complete missions and the efficiency can be improved by keeping a formation. However, it is still restricted by the low level of intelligence and the lack of cooperation both.In some situations without the control of humen, the ability of completing the flight mission together and realizing the keeping and recombination of the formation can only be realized by the design of the communication within the cluster. But the feature of the flight control system makes it hard to deal with situations involved with large data exchange and management.Aiming at problems above, this paper analyses the importance of the communication design in the unmanned aerial vehicle cluster and proposes a scheme. This paper uses main processor and assist processor to build the hardware platform. The following works are finished: the selecting of main chip、assist chip and peripheral chip; the design of power; port design. Simple missin is given and the functions of the communication is analysed. Scheme is designed including arithmetic for producing flight path、arithmetic for keeping formation、arithmetic for formation control and preventing of communication. Programs are written and simulation results are shown. At last, simulation of formation flight based on Unity3 D is designed to test the availability and rightness of the design.
