In recent years, in order to fight against all kinds of weapons threat improving the fight performance of the missile is more and more urgent. In the research and development of as missile propulsion device widely used in solid rocket engine, although ongoing propellant and motor shell of high performance improved, but only with these techniques is difficult to greatly improve the fight performance. Therefore, in order to improve the control, improve tactical missile survival and fight ability, increase its range, reasonable distribution and use of energy, it is sometimes necessary to engine start several times to provide multi pulse thrust. Multi pulse engine is in the combustion chamber filling separated multiple propellant unit, without separating combustion chamber and nozzle, with arbitrary timing of each part of the propellant were burning, produce multiple thrust control of solid rocket engine. At home and abroad now research is double pulse solid rocket motor. It is a relatively simple structure and can achieve high performance index.Study of interlayer type multi pulse engine working process and the interlayer heat transfer and provide a basis for multi pulse engine structure design, according to the interlayer type multi pulse engine characteristics.This paper uses the Fluent dynamic mesh technology and UDF secondary development, multi pulse engine first level and second level working process is simulated,including internal combustion propellant burning progresses and secondary end gas charging passage of burning process.Considering different interlayer thickness and different gas temperature, coefficient of thermal conductivity of different interlayer heat transfer between the level of impact. The results of numerical simulation to obtain credible, more real, and as the research level indirect heat transfer to provide more real data.The results show that the interlayer thermal conductivity on heat transfer of interlayer,with increase of thermal conductivity, interlayer heat transfer faster, effects of interlayer thickness on the heat transfer of the interlayer times, with the decrease of the thickness of interlayer heat transfer faster, gas temperature has the least effect on the heat transfer of the interlayer can be ignored.
