As social economic and science technology develop rapidly in the 21 st century, innovation ability becomes the key to enhance the comprehensive national strength competition. A maker movement is sweeping the world. The children maker groups are emerging under the background and the education on the children makers are getting more and more attention. Therefore, the design and exploitation of educational products on children makers is an important issue that needs to be solved.Based on study on relevant theories and researches, the thesis applies the entry point and needs to design and develop the educational products on children makers which are suitable for the children’ s age characteristics and enables the children to make use of the products and take innovate activities artistically and scientifically, trains their hands-on abilities and arises their creativity. Meanwhile, we conclude out the principles, methods and procedures to develop the educational products on children makers, which provide theoretical reference for future domestic research on this field and more often provide instruct on the design methods and design pattern. Thus making up for the shortage of products of the same kind, meeting the needs for educational products on children makers and package curriculum which are truly suitable for developing the children both for family and educational organizations, popularizing and promoting maker education.The thesis altogether is divided into six parts:Chapter 1 By elaborating the influence of maker movement on education, it summarizes the background, purpose, significance, basic thinking and method of the research, and puts forward the demand for educational products on children makers.Chapter 2 Firstly it distinguishes the objective children’s age of study, analyses physiological and cognitive psychology of the age group of children, elaborates the reason of the lack of children’s creativity and the importance of cultivating creativity during the childhood and also the value of cultivating the children’s creativity. According to the research on the materials about creativity education at home and abroad, the thesis comes up with 3 key objective directions for cultivating creativity education.Chapter3 In line with the present actual research, this chapter puts forward the design principles concerning educational products in maker movement from the aspects of safety, fun, innovation, adaptability, diversity and education.Chapter 4 According to needs, we design educational products on children makers from both the course products and equipment products. After conducting market survey, the design objective and orientation are set. For instance, by taking the special exercise with tools and seasonal activity as an entry point, we will design the innovative products and build up prototype to form real model project. According to the needs of family creative activity at home, we are to design equipment products to meet the family creative activities and to provide good conditions and pleasant environment for family creative activity at home.Chapter 5 It designs the curriculum of package products, launches the curriculum practice and tests the relevant products. During the process of trial, we collect many true and valuable materials by curriculum observation record and interview, etc. Then we testify and improve our designed project.Lastly, the thesis concludes the practice research and outlooks the educational products on children makers in the future.
