China is one of the most serious earthquake-hazard countries in the world. With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the energy dissipation structure is used for a broader construction in China.But, because of the complication of structure function, the structural system with only one kind of damping system,such as buckling-restrained brace(BRB), viscous damper(VD), can not guarantee the structural safety and applicability. So, the hybrid damping structure will make a great figure in the future. However, the traditional response spectrum method can not consider the nonlinear deeply; the method of PUSHOVER can not consider the contribution of damper with velocity related; the large computing cost limits the development of Time-History method. In one word, the traditional methods do not fit the analysis of hybrid damping structure.First of all, this paper has been summarized the BRB’s and VD’s restoring force model and presented an suggested calculation model.Secondly, based on the traditional PUSHOVER method, this paper gives out the computing program by MATLAB for further study. And, this paper provides an improved method on the strength of energy equivalence. Moreover, the new mothed is programmed, and turned out to be true.In the Time-History calculations, the analysis for hybrid damping structure needs a sea of earthquake affairs. It is essential that the analysis demands artificial seismic wave on account of natural seismic wave can not completely meet every site types.Therefore, this paper provides a improved method which has some new technique to supply enaugh artificial seismic waves for later project case.Eventually, according to the engineering, this paper provides two kinds of analytical procedures to think over the analysis and design of hybrid damping structure. The first applies to determining the parameters of the energy dissipation damping device. The second applies to analysing the existing hybrid damping structure.And, two methods is also applicable to both conventional structure and hybrid damping structure.
