urban transport "chronic illness" is deteriorating, more and more city planners began to rrealize the disadvantages of "the rapidness, motorized" urban development, and calls for the return of the slow moving traffic.Since Guangdong province first launch the project of the ecological greenway system in Pearl River delta district in 2010, a popular tide has formed in building domestic ecological greenway system and seeing it as a main way of remoulding urban landscape pattern. The advantages that Greenway intensive style of land using mode and its significant ecological corridor effect manifest has been commonly known and expanded. At the same time,it popularize a new slow healthy living way of life for urban residents, people are urge to slow down the pace of life, improve the quality of life and improve the quality of life by recreation and sports.Changsha, in its 2008-2020 overall urban planning, has come up with the request and plan for building ecological greenway system, massive actions of building green have been carried out in urban areas. The advocated lifestyle of "low carbon and go slow" has slowly begun in Changsha. Nowadays, Changsha has finished several main landscape avenues. With the absent of a whole system, remarkable result has not shown up yet. In order to ultimately solve the development of urban environment and meet the demand of resident by building greenways, this article intends to start from the constructing of the systems urban slow-traffic recreational greenways, to explore the ways that satisfy the needs, which city dweller belongs, of safe driving, leisure and entertainment, contacting with nature. This article starts from the concept and construction method of greenways, combined with theories relating to slow traffic system, recreation and landscape ecology. First, the concept of urban slow-traffic recreational greenways has been put forward, and a detailed introduction and analysis to the classification, function and composition has been given. By analyzing and looking back at the process of how domestic and foreign theories and practices developed, thus instructing the construction method of slow-traffic recreational greenways system in this research. The core part of this article believes that urban slow-traffic recreational greenway system should be based on the current urban traffic system, taking advantage of the current road system and combining the resources of recreational landscapes. By effectively integrating resources such as natural green lands, history relics, and entertainments in the high density urban central area; and by effectively using the ribbon space of the city to increase the area of green land; and at the same time, exert the function of non-motorized traffic, recreational entertainment and ecological protection. On the bases of clear construction object, this research select the upland city from central part of China-Changsha, and take its central urban area as the example. First of all, according to the current green space system planning(2010-2020) of Changsha’s central urban area, we pick up the related data such as green spaces, road network, characteristics of land using, purpose-built and culture relic protection site, we summarize the recreational resources of the main patch and the potential corridor connectional resources. Among which, the main patch recreational resources include:natural resources, historical human resources, literary entertainment resources; the potential liner connectional resources manifest itself in current urban traffic. Then, by using AHP analytical hierarchy process, we can construct the factor evaluation system of urban slow-moving recreational greenway system, giving, respectively, scores to the attractive value of both resources. On the basis of the evaluation, by utilizing GIS to analysis the land suitability of all the evaluated resources in Changsha’s central urban area, we can move on to the to the step of node selection and path planning, and finally, make the goal of slow-moving recreational greenways come true, and by coupling the current urban planning and construction situation and regional cultural features, we can provide valuable advices for the practice planning of urban slow-traffic recreational greenway space landscapes,at present, to the planning and construction of urban green land, At the same time, the advocated lifestyle of "low carbon and go slow" has slowly begun. The result of present stage has increased the numbers and dimensions of green lands, yet despite of this, the overall green space landscape system is still in fragmentation. According to the above problems, this article, which focuses on the system-constructing process of urban ecological green landscapes, applies AHP to evaluate and weigh the factors of entertainment and linear connection resources in every plate in Changsha, thus forming the most suitable slow-traffic and entertainment greenway lands system in central urban area of Changsha. The results may effectively solve the problem of fragmentation of the current green space landscape and deficient of slow-traffic system in Changsha.
