Aimed at the cooling requirements of reactor with high heat flux in power converter, circular air cooling system of evaporation cooling type is designed. This paper regard cooling structure and cooling module in the cooling system of the reactor as the object of study, researching its heat transfer performance.The main study contents of this paper are followed:(1) Research and application status of cooling structure of reactor and separated type heat pipe cooling system in confined space according to the relevant materials and papers at home and abroad. (2) To study advantages and applications of all kinds of electronic equipment cooling technique in order to determine the cooling scheme for object of study. (3) To make preliminary design of cooling structure of the reactor and CFD software Ansys/icepak is applied to make optimization design on the cooling structure in order to the influence factors of heat dissipation as the breakthrough point and acquire the cooling structure of the best performance. (4) The design method tested by engineering is used to design the parallel flow evaporator which is core element in reactor cooling module. After equipment selection, prototype according to the results of design is made in order to research the heat transfer performance of cooling module of the reactor.The results of the study of this paper are followed:(1) The temperature rise and temperature distribution can be controlled effectively under the width to 5mm of channel, the flow rate to 800m3/h, five copper thermally conductive sheets with unequally spaced arrangement through analysis of the influence factors of heat dissipation about the cooling structure of the reactor. (2) The heat pipe cooling module has short response time and good thermal stability; Heat exchange capability of the actual evaporator meet the design requirements. All these research achievement provide theoretical basis for thermal design of electronic equipment in confined space.
