Mercury exists as a kind of trace toxic substances in the environment, and it has many hazards:easy mobility,hidden, high bioaccumulation,highly volatile, persistence and others. These hazards has attracted great attention at home and abroad.Atmospheric mercury emissions mainly comes fromcoal-fired power plants, Our country’s co al consumption is the most in the world, so control of mercury emissions in coal-fired power plant is urgent need to solve problems, the main morphology of mercury are:elemental mercury (Hgo),divalent mercury (Hg2+) and particulate mercury (Hgp). Elemental mercury (Hgo),which is difficult to remove. This paper mainly for aiming at controlling the growing problem of mercury pollution, studies online monitoring of gaseous and adsorption Hg of the flue gasare.First of all, through the analysis of the existing of coal-fired power plant emissions of mercury in flue gas detection analysis method. And use these methods to the pilot project of our compan y in YANCHENG power plant. According to the mercury data of the power plant after installed of environmental protection equipment, to analyze mercurey removal ability of the existing environmental protection equipment. So that targeted research to take off the mercury method accordingly.Through analysis of data collected, coal-fired flue gas emissions after the existing environmental protection equipment, mainly contains elemental mercury (Hg°) cannot removal, this thesis mainly is the study of elemental mercury (Hg°) removed method.As the activated carbon have large specific surface area, strong adsorption ability, is a kind of very good mercury adsorption material. Through the experiment proved that if the activation of activated carbon is treated, and make the silver processing, the adsorbing mercury ability can improve several times. After activated carbon adsorption of silver mercury saturation, to activate the regeneration, and the activated carbon of reuse, and mercury can be recycled as the resources.
