This article focuses on the multi-service transport platform (Multi-Service Transport Platform) in Electrical Communication Network application methods. According to the network current status of the regional fiber optic transmission network, the article analyzes application model of protective relaying, electric power automation and IP services. In addition, EVPL multipoint model based RPR ring is studied on multi-service transport platform.The rapid development of IP data services, what is making local area network rapid developing. A new requirement of the transport network is proposed, which is to provide high-speed WAN port. Traditional methods of IP OVER SDH or IP OVER ATM have a drawback that when the second layer put into the WAN service structure of the first layer, their bandwidth are statically allocated. The result is bandwidth utilization is not high. Fixed the method of transmission bandwidth caused a greater waste of resources. It is not the best choice as simple as I stand here.RPR technology not only inherits the advantages of sharing the advantages of Ethernet bandwidth and provides SDH manageability, network survivability, etc., also increased the fair of path accessing, topology discovery capabilities. Moreover, RPR optimize the transmission mode of IP services.
