The intake process of the helical intake port of a diesel engine determines the air flow in the cylinder of the diesel engine and the quality of the mixture formed by the intake and diesel. The intake flow characteristics of diesel engine cylinder mixture formation and combustion and post combustion product ingredients such as plays an important role, the pros and cons of the air quality directly affect the technical index of the diesel engine power, fuel consumption, emissions and noise. In currently the consciousness of environmental protection and emission regulations of increasingly stringent requirements of environment, for a diesel engine developing links, emission performance in a priority position, improved the optimization of inlet has become necessary and urgent.The in the full research and project related at home and abroad on the basis of the relevant literature, discusses the commonly used method for detection and evaluation airway and the intake flow characteristics commonly used flow coefficient and swirl than the two parameter to evaluate the related calculation formula is derived, the study used in the process of airway steady flow test rig arrangement and working principle of. Combined with the 493 Diesel Engine in the process of developing the cylinder head airway in the analysis of steady flow test bench again with the diesel engine actual bench test combination method, on the types of diesel engine and exhaust are improved in this paper. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)On the basis of the 493 Diesel Engine port parameters and performance, this paper introduces the airway design design experience value, port matching design of the valve size and related parameters, the original diesel engine inlet parameters and practical bench test results and the original airway scheme diesel engine performance and data analysis. And in order to optimize the direction of improvement.(2)Revisions expand the inlet and raise the minimum section inside the boss and then expand the intake valve seat and a total of 5 rounds of improvement. After fourth improved schemes are carried out and the corresponding test bench test is carried out. It is concluded that the relative matching of the inlet parameters of the model is based on the fifth round of the improved scheme, and finally completed the design of the inlet of the diesel engine.(3)In this paper, the optimization scheme is fully considered, the final optimization scheme is proposed, and the performance of the diesel engine is tested, and the exhaust channel is optimized. For the exhaust, throat position structure optimization and expand the exhaust valve seat, so as to reduce the energy loss of the exhaust process, and improve the supercharger of waste energy utilization and realize the engine in the further optimization of the inlet optimized performance is obtained.
