Recently, with the leap-forward development of heavy-duty trucks in China, heavy trucks have become an indispensable means of transport modernization, meanwhile, heavy trucks with high-tonnage,big horsepower and high technology have become the development trend recognized by the industry, which put forward higher requirements on their braking performance. This paper focus on the establishment of heavy truck models, and improvement of its ABS(ABS-Antilock Brake System) in the purpose of promoting the performance of ABS,which plays a dominant role in the safety of heavy trucks.Using heavy trucks and ABS controller as the subject of the study, this passage also does research on comparing the characteristics of the different control methods and ABS working principles and how the improvement of control methods promotes braking performance, based on careful analysis of the operating principle and the evaluation index of braking performance.Through TruckSim,it established heavy trucks vehicle modeling, and used this model to improve the braking effect of the ABS controller, and study the dynamic process simulation analysis. In this paper, the heavy-truck braking process is analyzed, centered on ABS controller in accordance with relevant provisions of GB 12676-2014 to study the braking performance evaluation index and discusses design requirements. Using TruckSim,it divided the vehicle into seven major systems, carried out research on parametric modeling of each module of the truck, and established vehicle models combining the CA1253P7K1L11T1 E heavy-duty truck produced by FAW.According to current ABS control system defect and the research in this field, the idea of using CMAC-PID(Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller-Process Identification) control algorithm to design the controller is been proposed.Based on slip-curve,the idea of improved controller CMAC-Fuzzy-PID is presented, and the control model is established.Combining vehicle dynamics model built in TruckSim with ABS controller model built in MATLAB/Simulink for simulation, brake test was developed based on the requirements of the national standard in different road conditions.Using two different controllers acting on the heavy truck, and conducting simulations on different roads, the received simulated curves are compared. In this paper a lot of simulation experiments results show that the ABS control system controlled by CMAC-Fuzzy-PID has good control effect, and it meet the national standard of the requirements of heavy-truck braking performance.
