As a clean and renewable energy, Current Power has great significance to solve the increasingly serious energy crisis and achieve sustainable development. The horizontal axis current turbine is researched in this paper. Blade design,hydrodynamic characteristics analysis and numerical simulation are discussed. The main contents of each chapter as follows:In the first chapter, the background and significance of the research are explained. The characteristics, classification and the main distribution of Current Power in our country are introduced. Research progress at home and abroad are discussed. Then the main Design Theory, Wilson Method and the studys about hydrodynamic characteristics are pointed out. Last, the main contents of each chapter are told.In the second chapter, the basic computational equations,includes mass conservation equation, momentum conservation equation and turbulence model are explained. Then the main discretization method in time and space are introduced. Last, the method of the coupling of pressure and velocity are introduced.In the third chapter, the basic knowledge of the blade are studied. Through the analysis and comparison, the optimum angle of attack is found. Then the chord length and twist angle of each airfoil is obtained by Wilson Method using MATLAB. Last, the space point coordinates of each airfoil section are calculated using the space coordinate transformation formula. The 3D entity model of blade is got.In the forth chapter, the hydrodynamic characteristics analysis and numerical simulation of flow field of the steady three-dimensional blade are studied. Respectively from design conditions, off-design conditions and variable pitch angle, the change rule of power coefficient, torque coefficient and axial force coefficient and pressure distribution, velocity distribution, and the distribution of hydrodynamic characteristics of flow field information are showed.In the fifth chapter, the hydrodynamic characteristics analysis and numerical simulation of flow field and turbulent flow of the unsteady three-dimensional blade are studied. The statistical characteristics of power coefficient, torque coefficient, axial force coefficient, force coefficient of side directions, static pressure, dynamic pressure, vorticity,turbulence energy and turbulent viscosity ratio are compared, and some evolution of the hydrodynamic characteristics and various parameters of flow field are analyzed.In the sixth chapter, the works and concluds the whole paper are summarized, and the the prospects for future research are pointed out.
