Rotating machinery is the key equipment of electricity, petroleum, chemic and other sectors, and is often in high-speed running, so for long term there will be some mechanical failure. On the basis of filtering, spectral estimation and feature extraction for the vibration signal establish a fault diagnosis system is an effective means of guarantee reliable operation. Paper studies the processing algorithms for vibration signal on online monitoring of rotating machinery and completes the software design.Firstly, paper analyzes the vibration signal’s processing requirements and determines the design scheme of the program, which includes communication procedures, filtering program, spectrum estimation procedure and an interface program. Second, combining with the requirements of that the vibration signal filtering requires strict linear phase and better filtering effect, proposes the algorithm of cyclic Wiener filtering in discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain and introduced the algorithm’s principles and the implementation process, and respectively carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis on the performance of the algorithm. On the basis of the implements of vibration signal’s filter, paper uses minimum variance spectrum estimation algorithm on the spectrum estimation. Minimum variance spectrum estimation algorithm belongs to the modern spectral estimation algorithm.it is improved on the basis of the AR model, and overcomes the limitations of the classical spectrum estimation algorithm, the same time achieved a better balance between the performance of resolution and variance, both to ensure a more good performance of resolution and get a good performance of variance. Finally, the system of rotating machinery vibration signal analysis and processing, which is designed based on the hybrid programming of C# and MATLAB, establishes data communication with the online monitoring and realizes the vibration signal’s analysis and processing of the host computer, and has a good interactive features.After being tested, the communication, data storage, parameter passing and waveform display etc. functions of the program are all normal operation. The test results showed that using the cyclic Wiener filtering algorithm in discrete cosine transform domain to filter not only can ensure the vibration signal’s linear phase,but also have a good filtering effect, and using the minimum variance spectrum estimation algorithm to estimate spectrum of vibration signal can both have a good performance of resolution and a good performance of variance. Using the rotating machinery vibration signal analysis and processing system which is based on hybrid programming of C# and MATLAB, can achieve a good interactive features and improved flexibility on the vibration signal processing by staff.
