In recent years,with the development of computer science and technology and intelligent control technology and other high-technology, intelligent car technology becomes an important direction of future technology development. The automatic parking technology is a key technology of unmanned intelligent car research. Automatic parking system is when the car needs to park into a space, the unmanned car will automatically park itself into the target parking space, by the control through the automatic control system, with the help of sensor device, the certain control algorithm and controls the driving means, without a driver’s operation.In this paper, based on what the unmanned car automatic parking guidance system will eventually want to achieve, we need the car has the ability of the environmental awareness, data processing and precise control. Each system function is modularized by the block type independent structure, and then through the computer control system to combine with all the separate system, in order to control the whole automatic parking system.First, this paper introduces the composition of the unmanned automatic car parking guidance system and hardware requirements of each part of the system, including computer control system, sensor detection system, decision-making system, what’s more, introduces the unmanned automatic car parking system’s control principle.Secondly, according to an unmanned car guidance system for automatic parking sensor requirements, design and construction of a set of ultrasonic parking detection system. Introduces the working principle of the ultrasonic parking space detection system in detail, including its hardware and software implementation, using the ultrasonic sensor to test the size of parking space.Thirdly, this paper introduces the unmanned car automatic control strategy of parking guidance system. Analyze the kinematics model of unmanned car, planning a algorithm based on two pieces of circular arc parking path, and calculate the minimum parking space needed by the automatic parking system, design the unmanned car decision-making system.Finally, run some tests of each modules of unmanned car automatic parking guidance system using VB,did the actual validation of automatic parking system. The results shows that the automatic parking guidance system on the unmanned intelligent car is worked.
