This thesis studies the steel frame containing abnormal joint with highly unequal beam on both sides, takes the framework layer between lateral value as a function of design requirements (target deformation), and searches for the design method of node which treat deformation performance as control factors in a particular horizontal loading (for example, wind load). It mainly contains the following several aspects:(1) It starts with the theoretical analysis of the steel frame abnormal joint with highly unequal beam on both sides, deduces the stress and deformation law of abnormal joint form 18 specimens belong to the common hot rolled beams table, and makes comparison between the two groups (6 pieces) model which scale ratio of 1:4 and laboratory test results of the project group, to obtain the conclusion that the design control factors based on deformation performance is stricter than the design control factors based on bearing capacity,finally, it puts forward the elastic design ideas to the steel frame containing abnormal joint with highly unequal beam on both sides based on the deformation performance (target deformation).(2) On the basis of elastic design, according to the principle of "weak beam", and then considers forming the plastic hinge on the beam end, it carries on the plastic design of steel frame based on deformation performance of the whole structure which is into a "plastic flow mechanism" and destroyed of bearing capacity limit state; Then, make comparison of calculated value and experimental value between 2 group (6 pieces) scale model, and deduce the plastic adjustment coefficient of the layer with 18 common size specimen model as an example;(3) On the basis of elastic and plastic design, deduce the calculation formula of the layer between the lateral (target deformation) of the steel frame containing abnormal joint with highly unequal beam on both sides under the influence of P-A effect, and then starts the second order design of the steel frame, finally, it proposes the structure design suggestion tended to security which meets the elastic design, plastic design and the structure of second order analysis...
